Merchant e-Solutions (MeS) is a merchant account provider that Cielo owns. The company offers several merchant solutions, including payment processing, POS systems, and an all-in-one reporting platform. MeS stands out with its international payment processing capabilities as well.
Merchant e-Solutions is a registered ISO / MSP of Wells Fargo Bank. Cielo acquired MeS in 2012, and the company’s domestic operations are based out of Redwood City, California.
MeS offers a wide variety of merchant solutions, including POS systems and mobile swipers. But the company specializes in processing online payments. It’s especially noteworthy for its international processing capabilities.
Merchants who use MeS can accept payments in 150 currencies from across the globe. That can be very useful for companies that operate on a global scale.
Unfortunately, Merchant e-Solutions doesn’t publish very much information about its rates and fees. The company is also somewhat secretive about its contractual terms. Merchants who are interested in using MeS will have to approach the company directly to figure out what their rates would be with them.
MeS currently has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and hardly any negative complaints. This is typically a very good sign -- especially for a company of this size.
Merchant Provider Risk Tolerance
Merchant e-Solutions offers a wide variety of payment processing options for merchants to choose from. The company accepts all major payment types with its payment gateway and virtual terminal services. Merchant e-Solutions also offers international payment processing for more than 150 currencies across the world.
You can even use Merchant e-Solutions’ MeS mobile app to run a virtual terminal on a mobile device. The company provides several mobile swipers to choose from, which makes it easy to find one that works for your business needs.
MeS also offers several different POS solutions to its merchants. However, it doesn’t provide much information on its website about what these actually are. The good news is that MeS only sells and rents its POS terminals to merchants, which is much favorable to leasing. If you’d like to learn more about the company’s POS solutions, it appears that you would need to contact a customer service agent directly to do so.
All-in-One Reporting Platform
Merchant e-Solutions also offers a comprehensive reporting platform. You’ll get the most out of this if you sign up for multiple services from MeS. If you do, your domestic and international transaction data should be presented together in a single spot where you can analyze them. This can be a pretty useful way to alter your business practices to maximize your income.
It isn’t entirely clear whether this reporting platform is free for all MeS merchants or if it’s available at an additional fee. The company’s website doesn’t provide this information.

Public Pricing Available
Unfortunately, there’s no pricing information published on the MeS website. However, the company does appear to offer both tiered pricing and interchange-plus plans. The company also has a low monthly fee of between $5 and $10, as well as a $9.95 PCI compliance fee.

According to merchant reviews, MeS favors a three-year contract with an automatic renewal clause. This is pretty standard for the industry. It also appears that MeS can be flexible with the length of the contracts that it offers. Some merchants have been given offers for as low as one year.
The company does have an early termination fee of $300. This could actually be higher if MeS assesses liquidated damages when you break the contract.

MeS currently has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. The company has very few negative reviews online -- especially for a provider of its size. This is a very good sign for merchants who want to do business with the company.
