Centurion Payment Services Overview
Centurion Payment Services, also known as CPS, is a merchant account provider that offers credit card processing services for low, mid, and high-risk merchants. CPS claims to have the lowest rates with the most advanced security.
Though CPS has solutions for low and mid-risk merchants, they specialize in the following high-risk industries: CBD, nutra (no trial), travel clubs, MLM, credit repair, collections (first party debt only), fantasy sports, adult, gaming (must be licensed). It is difficult to find processors that claim to specialize in these areas, so CPS is catering to a niche market.
The overall lack of online reviews regarding this company makes it difficult to confirm if CPS is completely truthful in their advertising and if merchants are happy with their service, hence the reason for the imperfect score.
Centurion Payment Services Pros & Cons
24/7 customer support
Free pricing comparisons
QuickBooks plugin available
Lack of merchant reviews about company
Lack of disclosure of products/software carried
Centurion Payment Services Products & Services
Unfortunately, CPS does not disclose which products they offer their merchants. They do claim to have solutions that allow merchants to capture transactions from the office, website, or with mobile equipment that is EMV and Apple Pay compatible (NFC). So we can assume they carry standalone/countertop terminals, mobile devices, and possibly POS systems. CPS does offer a payment gateway, POS software integration, and advanced payment reporting software but they do not disclose the name of the gateway or software.
Additionally, CPS has Quickbooks integrations available as well as 1099-K reporting.
Centurion Payment Services Advertising & Sales
CPS does advertise a good amount of their pricing on their website, which is not typical for the merchant services industry. Other than the pricing, the website offers little details about products and services. We have found no negative reviews about CPS, which leads us to believe that what they advertise is true, and merchants are happy with their products.
It is unknown if CPS hires independent sales agents to obtain merchant accounts or if they strictly rely on an in-house sales team. We have not found any sales complaints, and can assume, for now, that the selling techniques and advertising of this company is not deceptive. Overall, CPS can be considered truthful and ethical in their business practices.

Centurion Payment Services Pricing, Rates & Fees
CPS claims to have the lowest rates in credit card processing due to working directly with the 1st and 2nd largest processors in the industry. They say they can get their merchants the lowest rates, 100% guaranteed, though there is no further information of what this guarantee entails.
Pricing is advertised on the CPS website in a very detailed chart. Pricing and fees vary by card type and environment as well as business type. For the Visa credit card type, swipe rates are 1.51% + 10¢ while keyed rates are 1.80% + 10¢. For Mastercard credit card type, the swipe rates are 1.58% + 10¢ while 1.89% + 10¢. Debit transactions have different rates. The full pricing chart is extensive, and can be found on the website. American Express pricing starts at 1.60% + 10¢, but this will vary depending on industry. Since CPS is an all-purpose payment processor, it is highly likely that these rates could fluctuate dramatically depending on the typical factors: business type, processing history, credit history, etc. Additionally, high-risk merchants should expect to pay higher rates than the averages that are advertised.
Unfortunately, beyond the pricing chart, no fees are disclosed on their website. We do not know if CPS charges an ETF, if they have product leasing options, if there are any additional fees associated with payment gateways, etc.

Centurion Payment Services Contract & Terms
CPS does not publicly disclose their merchant application or contract terms & conditions, and we could find no information online about contract lengths. Merchants should be advised that contract terms and lengths can vary depending on the nature of your business.
CPS does not disclose if they have an early termination fee (ETF) or any other cancellation fees.
We always encourage merchants to read the fine print on all applications and contracts.
Centurion Payment Services Setup & Support
CPS provides commitment free quotes that are reviewed by dedicated account professionals within 24 hours of submission. They have in-house CPA’s that will go through your current merchant account statements to ensure the highest possible savings for their merchants.
CPS also offers free credit card terminal installation, and if there are any issues with hardware in the future, free on-site repairs are offered.
CPS claims to be a leader in PCI compliance education and training and are dedicated to the ongoing education of their merchants about new security measures.
CPS is available by email and 24/7 phone support. It is unknown if the phone support is completely in-house or if CPS outsources it after standard business hours. The very few online reviews we could find illustrate the level of customer service is high.
Centurion Payment Services Complaints, Ratings & Reviews
Not many reviews could be found on CPS, there is a complete lack of reviews on most platforms we typically look at. Only 3 reviews on Google could be found, all were positive raving about customer service and level of attention. However Google reviews are known to be unverified and we do not know if actual merchants wrote these reviews.
The BBB has given CPS an “NR” rating. This can be due to insufficient information about the business or ongoing review/update of the business’s file. Additionally, no reviews and no complaints are reported by the BBB.
We could not find any complaints online which could be an indicator that merchants are happy with the service CPS provides.
No outstanding class-action lawsuits or FTC complaints filed against CPS could be found.
