Monthly Minimum, in the merchant processing world, typically refers to the minimum amount that a merchant must pay in processing fees each month.
If the merchant is unable to reach this minimum amount, they are charged a pro-rated amount (the difference of this amount and their actual fees paid for the month) at the end of the month/period.
Monthly minimums are calculated only from discount processing fees. Additional Mid qualified and Non qualified fees are not included in reaching the monthly minimum.
