Service commerce platform established in Denver, Colorado serving over 17,000 customers.
PaySimple is a registered ISO of Fifth Third Bank and a registered ISO of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Concord, CA. DigiCert Seal.
PaySimple provides small business owners in the service sector with the tools they need to accept payments, while additional features of the platform help merchants manage a base of customers with detailed needs. Think businesses that offer legal or medical services, classes or lessons, cleaning or repair services, web services — you get the idea. In the process of signing up for PaySimple’s payment gateway and cloud-based software suite, you will also be assigned a dedicated merchant account with a separate processor on the back end. In this sense, PaySimple is also a traditional merchant services provider (MSP).
PaySimple is a relatively small company with only about 200 employees but still brings in $32 million in revenue annually. This self-described "service commerce platform" provides an integrated system that enables small business owners to process transactions and manage their customers' needs. The system is designed with service merchants in mind, such as doctor's offices and hair salons, that manage relationships with customers over time and have unique billing and communication needs.
This merchant service provider (MSP) allows business owners to utilize advanced billing features, such as enabling recurring payments and tracking customer information, without requiring any technical knowledge from the user. However, this may not be the right system for businesses with robust inventory tracking needs or a high volume of card-swipe transactions.
PaySimple has a superb customer service department and a reliable support team to provide any assistance or training that you might require as you navigate the system. And PaySimple does provide support if an issue arises with funding or transactions rather than leaving merchants to navigate these conflicts independently.
Note: PaySimple is only available to US providers who process transactions in USD.

PaySimple offers two pricing plans: the Starter Plan and the Standard Plan. Getting details on each plan's rates and fees can be tricky, but a quick chat with a customer service representative can point you in the right direction.
The Starter Plan ($24.95/month) has a lower monthly base rate, but higher fees for all transactions. The Standard Plan ($54.95/month) carries the higher base cost and includes access to all of the platform's e-commerce features; however, lower transaction fees could make it the more attractive plan for merchants that process a higher monthly transaction volume. Most of the other charges are the same in both plans.

Users can sign up for PaySimple with a month-to-month agreement and can cancel at any time without incurring a termination fee. You'll just need to provide a written 10-day notice of your desire to cancel and will pay for the remainder of your current monthly service fee.
Your agreement for the merchant account included with your PaySimple subscription is also a monthly contract with no termination penalty. Just be sure to send notice of your cancelation in writing to avoid inadvertently accruing lingering fees after the fact.
Users can lease equipment through PaySimple as well if needed. These agreements are made with a third party and require a 48-month term, which is non-cancelable even if you cancel your PaySimple account.

User reviews of PaySimple are overwhelmingly positive, with well over half of users giving a 5-star rating.
The most consistent highlight in these reviews is that PaySimple's customer service goes above and beyond to resolve issues and provide ongoing support to users. Users also commend the simplicity of setting up the system, reviewing billing and customer information, and generating reports from that data.
There are a few consistent complaints as well. Businesses note that the process of changing a customer's billing information (like switching from a credit card to an ACH payment, for example) can be tedious. Processing times on payments sometimes lags a day past the projected window. The additional steps required to get full transparency on pricing plans and fees, as noted previously, is another common point of frustration. That said, most of this negative feedback comes from 4-5 star reviews of the service, and customers are largely satisfied with PaySimple's service.
