National Processing is a merchant account provider headquartered in Lindon, Utah. Established in 2007, it's a rather small company compared to other leading names in the payments industry but punches well above its weight in terms of pricing and service.
National Processing is a merchant account provider that offers credit card processing services as well as ACH processing. They guarantee their merchants 100% satisfaction. With this processor your rates are locked in- merchants will not be blindsided by new or increased fees. This processor is pretty transparent about their competitive interchange plus pricing and fees, as well as having numerous positive reviews from merchants who use their services. For these reasons, National Processing receives a very good rating.
This processor does not claim to specialize in high-risk accounts, so our recommendation is that low-to-mid risk businesses are the ones who should seek their services.
If you are looking to use any particular equipment or software, National Processing has partnerships with brands like Clover, Merchant Foundry, Authorize.net, Verifone, Ingenico, and Poynt.
National Processing also has programs for ISOs/agents and affiliates.
Note: National Processing should not be confused with similarly named merchant services company, National Processing Company (NPC). These are two very different companies with different rates, policies, and reviews.

For merchants that are on their more expensive monthly pricing plans, they offer free equipment (other than Clover Go) as well as a free terminal upgrade every 2 years. Merchants need to be aware that using the free equipment program does mean your account will incur cancellation fees.
National Processing partners with Authorize.net to offer online payment solutions in the form of virtual terminals, e-invoicing, API’s & integrations for website/shopping carts, and ACH payments. The ACH platform accommodates same-day processing as well as one-time & recurring transactions.
If you are interested in having a cloud based marketing and CRM tool for your business, National Processing also partners with Merchant Foundry to provide that service.

National Processing claims to have simple and transparent interchange plus pricing with no upfront fees- according to reviews this appears to be true. When merchants open an account, their rates are locked in for the entire lifespan of the account, regardless of changes in processing.
National Processing has pricing packages broken down by business size and industry:
BEST FOR SMALL TO MEDIUM BUSINESSES
Restaurant
Monthly Cost: $10 /mo+ interchange
Transactions Cost: 0.15% + $0.07
Retail
Monthly Cost: $10 /mo+ interchange
Transactions Cost: 0.20% + $0.10
eCommerce
Monthly Cost: $10 /mo+ interchange
Transactions Cost: 0.30% + $0.15
BEST FOR LARGER BUSINESSES
Monthly Cost: $59 /mo *+ interchange to $199 /mo *+ interchange
Transactions Cost: 0% + $0.09 to 0% + $0.05
Each package has different equipment perks, but all packages have a rate lock guarantee, chargeback/risk monitoring, next-day funding available, PCI compliance support, QuickBooks integrations, and 24/7 domestic support. The pricing chart that is available on their website is based on low-risk merchants. Hence, depending on the nature of your business, your pricing package could be cheaper or more expensive than what is advertised.
If merchants wish to use the ACH processing feature that National Processing offers, that package starts at 48¢/trans and $15/month.
National Processing will not charge an early termination fee (ETF) in the event of the business being sold/closed or if they cannot meet or beat competitor rates (restrictions apply).
National Processing has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. They back it up with a $500 Visa gift card to merchants if they cannot beat the merchants’ current rates with another processor (offer only applies to merchants processing over $10k/month). With this in mind, this may not be the most competitive option for merchants that process less than $10k/month.

National Processing does not publicly disclose their merchant application or contract terms & conditions, though it has been found that the contract length is typically month-to-month.
In general, contract terms usually vary depending on the nature of your business.
National Processing does not have a set early termination fee (ETF), but we know that an ETF and other cancellation fees may apply if you enroll in their free equipment program. They will waive an ETF in the event of the business being sold/closed or if they cannot meet or beat competitor rates (restrictions apply).
We always encourage merchants to read the fine print on all applications and contracts.
