Since its inception in 2007, Austin, Texas-based SalesVu has taken an avant-garde approach to payment processing with a cloud-based POS interface. SalesVu reviews indicate that the products are thought of as user-friendly with transparent pricing. Customers can opt for up to four payment processing options: iPad POS, handheld POS, self-order kiosks, and online ordering.
SalesVu offers eCommerce and POS options with optional apps developed for specific industries. Customers can opt for an integrated POS and e-Commerce program or choose either one as a stand-alone platform. Apps can be downloaded from the iTunes store for a small fee, and customers can develop their own customized apps.
Special features exist for each of the industries listed in the Best For section.
For example, restaurants benefit from SalesVu’s payment options capabilities, which allow them to accept orders at a POS station, on an iPad or handheld device (for servers), or at a self-serve kiosk.
In addition, restaurant managers can choose several optional apps, such as the kitchen manager app, which helps streamline ordering and kitchen operations. Additionally available apps include table manager, regulars loyalty manager, and VIP gift card manager.
SalesVu utilizes a monthly subscription fee pricing model, with additional charges for selected apps. A 15-day free trial is available.

Hardware and Software
SalesVu utilizes cloud-based software that requires no specific hardware to operate. Customers can integrate SalesVu’s programs with existing computer systems and start transacting business immediately. For those who already have existing POS equipment, this makes the process simple. e-Commerce companies that do not need POS technology can simply operate their store from their computers using SalesVu.
For SalesVu customers who need new POS hardware, the company offers two packages through mPOS Gear:
SalesVu POS Package: This package can be customized and runs for about $450. It includes a Star network printer, Windfall iPad stand and cables for the cash drawer.
Star mPOP Printer & Cash Drawer Combo: Costing around $400, this combo includes a cash drawer, cash drawer and four bill slots, printer, basic iPad stand, Bluetooth connectivity for one iPad, and 2” paper.
Square Integration: SalesVu is integrated with Square’s readers and programs, such as Square Payments, making Square a convenient option.
Value-Added Services
SalesVu offers more than POS and e-Commerce payment processing. Its value-added services are designed to enhance profitability and fall under three categories: maximizing sales, enhancing customer experience, and streamlining operations.
For example, under maximizing sales, the company offers the value-added scheduling feature integrated into the POS system. This service allows those who work by appointment or run classes to schedule clients, track revenue and manage client data in an all-in-one solution.
Under enhancing customer experience, SalesVu offers the website and app builder program. Customers can choose from several hundred templates to create web and mobile sites, which come with options for orders, reservations, customer engagement, and operations control.
To help streamline operations, SalesVu offers features such as the waitlist and reservation app. This application allows restaurants to manage walk-in waitlists, reservations, and table assignments from one computer or mobile device.
Accepted Payment Types
SalesVu handles all major credit- and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Merchants can also process checks and accept payments from alternative devices, such as smartphones and tablets. SaleVu’s website does not indicate if it can process cryptocurrencies.

Because SalesVu relies on its partners for processing, we need to look at their contract terms.
On average, they require a 36-month contract, with an early termination fee of up to $295.
Though SalesVu does not have a liquidated damages clause in its service contract, some payment processors do.
SalesVu customers can use a SalesVu partner or their own existing payment processor. Regardless, it is the payment processor that may have a liquidated damages clause in its contract. Before deciding on SalesVu and a processor, it is important to review the processors' contract. If there is a liquidated damages clause, you could be on the hook for the processors' loss due to early termination.
