'One simple rate to accept cards everywhere.'

That is the motto for Moolah as it strives for transparency in pricing. The company continually promises and delivers 'Cancel anytime, no equipment or software to buy.'

Moolah utilizes its own sales team that focuses on traditional advertising. Ther is no evidence at this time that suggests the firm employs independent sales agents.

Overall, Moolah maintains a good standard of truth in advertising.

Moolah Pricing, Rates & Fees

Moolah has one flat rate for all transactions. Regardless of whether your customer gives you credit, debit, or rewards cards, and whether it's a Mastercard, Visa, American Express, or Discover, you pay the same flat rate. This rate is a little above average for in-person transactions, but lower than average for card-not-present or online transactions.

You get an Authorize.Net payment gateway for free as part of your Moolah subscription, saving you $25 in monthly fees if you had registered directly with Authorize.Net. The pricing for using this online system is as follows:

  • 69% + $0.29 per transaction or,

  • $19.95 monthly minimum, whichever is greater

There is also the option of choosing a free Poynt Smart Terminal if you prefer in-person transactions. The pricing for it is as follows:

  • 69% + $0.29 per transaction or,

  • $99.95 monthly minimum, whichever is greater

There are a few costs you might incur on a case by case basis. For instance, if you issue a refund, you need to pay the $0.29 transaction fee. If a customer disagrees with a transaction, you need to pay $25 in chargeback fees.

The good news is that there are numerous fees you don't have to pay if you choose Moolah, such as:

  • PCI compliance fee

  • Application/setup fee

  • Statement fee

  • Annual fee

  • Gateway setup fee

  • Monthly gateway fee
